The following general behaviour management strategies are frequently used at Madhusudhan Global Pre School :
Positive statements are made to encourage the child to do the right thing.
Madhusudhan Global Pre School is working to “Redefine Pre primary School” in Mira- Bhayandar. We provide unique and activity based curriculum giving the opportunity to build confidence and express their individuality in physically
challenging, artistically enriching and intellectually stimulating programs. Our teachers guide students along every step, encourage them to come upon their own strengths and weaknesses. Students are put in an environment that
catalyses their academic, physical and intellectual approach. Problem solving and solution seeking is the main approach at Madhusudhan Global Pre School. Our curriculum Framework is based on development 0f Personal , Social
, Cognitive, Creative Expression , Aesthetic & Physical Development At Madhusudhan Global Pre School we use the Holistic Development Approach.
This is achieved through:
1. Activity based learning and co curricular Activities
2. Exposure
For example: “Turn the pages carefully,” rather than “Don’t tear the book!” Positive redirection is used to clarify when and where certain behaviour is acceptable. i.e., “We will walk “instead of “No running inside!” Feelings are validated. Children are guided to socially acceptable means of articulating anger and frustration such as verbal expression, pounding play dough or a pillow.
The “deed” is separated from the “doer”. This relays the message that “I like you and accept you unconditionally. However, I do not like what you did.” Good behaviour that we want to see continuously is reinforced. Examples of positive reinforcers include a smile, sticker charts, expressing thank you and other words of encouragement, such as “Let’s try it together.”
Our teaching philosophy is that kids learn problem-solving and other life skills by playing together with their peers and teachers. Moreover, our guided curriculum instills confidence and independence in our students. Our teachers are exceptionally qualified to guide students in this curriculum because they have an impressive background in early childhood education.
Assessment is defined as the process of observing, recording and documenting what your child does, knows and understands. Throughout the year, we oversee the child and document his/her progress. Our knowledge of your child helps us to plan an appropriate and challenging curriculum that is tailored to meet his/her strengths, needs and interests. Under the direction and supervision of the centre head, all staff at the Madhusudhan Global Preschool are involved in the assessment of children. They receive on-going training and have access to teaching resources to support their understanding. Progress is observed and documented in the following developmental and academic content areas: Cognitive, Language, Social, Emotional, Physical, Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Music and Dance. Assessments are based on utilization of teaching strategies that include on-going observations and samples of classroom work. Kindergarten students go through informal and stress-free tests for assessments.
